James Garner, who has graced the big screen and television (Maverick, The Rockford Files, 8 Simple Rules … For Dating My Teenage Daughter) suffered a minor stroke and was hospitalized late last week. James Garner has made improvements and should return home shortly, according to the actor’s rep.

Yep, I loved “A Different World” — and while snotty Whitley Gilbert wasn’t my favorite character, you have to give it up for the talented actress who played her, Jasmine Guy. While Jasmine Guy has been out of the spotlight as of late, she’s making headlines these days for filing for divorce from husband Terrence Duckett.

Jasmine Guy and Terrence Duckett have been married almost 10 years and have a 9-year-old daughter, Imani. Jasmine Guy is seeking physical and legal custody of their child.
