In an effort to further remove all music videos from their programming, MTV has announced that the network is cancelling Total Request Live/TRL. TRL has been on the air 10 years.
According to TRL executive producer Dave Sirulnick, “We want to close this era of TRL in a big celebratory way, and 10 is a great number. This feels like the right time and let’s celebrate it and let’s reward it.” Read the rest of this entry »

While not exactly breaking news, I feel compelled to comment on Vanessa Minnillo’s choice of clothing when she and boyfriend Nick Lachey were out shopping for Christmas decorations. Guess she’s not a jeans and t-shirt kinda girl?
The much buzzed about secret wedding of Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo fizzled – there was no weekend wedding news to report. Despite the rumors, Nick Lachey’s rep told Us magazine that there was no truth to the Bahama wedding gossip, with Lachey in Cincinnati preparing for the show “Clash of the Choirs.”
Lauren Conrad and Audrina Partridge were visiting TRL yesterday to talk about their upcoming reality tv show. Lauren’s pretty busy with the reality show, The Hills, AND launching her own fashion line in September.
Kat DeLuna, a bilingual rising pop star from the Dominican Republic (born in the Bronx), did her thing on Total Request Live yesterday.
