Trading Spaces Designer Doug Wilson Arrested for DUI

Trading Spaces designer, Doug Wilson, was arrested for DUI, among other charges, on Tuesday in Decatur, Illinois.

Apparently, he didn’t yield to the cop pulling him over, and that pesky driving under the influence thing, which totaled up his arrest charges for “aggravated DUI, driving with a suspended license, failing to yield the right-of-way to an emergency vehicle and illegal transportation of alcohol.”

Chances are the DUI arrest will cost Doug Wilson more than the $1,000 budget for those rooms on Trading Spaces.

Did you check out the triumphant return of host Paige Davis on TLC’s “Trading Spaces” last night? I totally forgot — even though I was a “Trading Spaces” fan back in the day and was looking forward to seeing if Paige Davis could put some new life back into the show.

Interestingly enough, I always found Paige Davis to be my least favorite part of “Trading Spaces,” but when she left (or was fired, more accurately), I completely stopped watching. Interesting how having a host pulled the show together that much better. Without Paige Davis, things got stale fast and I tuned out.

Guess I’ll have to start tuning in again Saturdays at 9 PM for TLC’s “Trading Spaces.” The video clip above is a promo for the new season.
