Who won last night’s finale of Top Chef season 5? In the end, Hosea Rosenberg was crowned the Top Chef winner, with his final three courses beating Top Chef finalists Carla Hall and Stefan Richter.
Hosea Rosenberg said of his Top Chef win, “It felt amazing to win, but to have it come down neck and neck with Stefan just made it all that sweeter. That was the icing on the cake. The New York Post is reporting that season five of Top Chef is rumored to be moving to Brooklyn.
While no reps for the Bravo series have yet confirmed the rumor, the Web site eater.com reveals that contestants have said Top Chef producers are scooping out Brooklyn housing for the upcoming cast. Read the rest of this entry »

Nassau County police arrested two women who allegedly attacked and yelled anti-gay slurs at “Top Chef” contestant Josie Smith-Malave. The incident occurred over Labor Day weekend.
Smith-Malave, an openly gay woman, appeared on the second season of “Top Chef.” She said that she and three other women were assaulted on September 1st by a dozen people.
One woman was charged with misdemeanor assault, while the other was charged with aggravated harassment. A homeless man who was accused of stealing one of the victim’s video cameras during the attack was arrested in September.
Bravo plans to air a “Top Chef” special in early December, with past contestants competing for charity. The “Top Chef Holiday Special” will air on December 6th at 9PM, and while the participants have not been made public at this point, it’s rumored that the prize will be $20,000 for the winner’s favorite charity.
