Neil Patrick Harris Hosting Emmy Awards

Neil Patrick Harris proved such a worthy Tony Award winners host that he’s taking it to the 61st annual Emmy awards.

Neil Patrick Harris is currently negotiating the deal with CBS and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to host the Emmys on September 20.

It’s not a done deal yet and CBS has declined to comment, but it’s rumored that it’s likely to happen.

Bret Michaels’ Tonys accident was more damaging than initially reported – after a set pieced dropped on Bret Michaels during the Tonys at the end of his performance with Poison and Rock of Ages (see video), he had X-rays taken to check for injuries beyond the busted lip and nose fracture he sustained.

Bret Michaels’ spokeswoman reported that he had X-rays, a fractured nose and got three stitches in his lip following the Tony Awards performance. Michaels also received a CAT scan on Monday as a precaution.
