Rachel Crow is definitely winning over viewers, as the bubbly 13-year-old has both personality and talent! She’s one to watch in this competition.

Her mentor, Simon Cowell, had Rachel sing Justin Bieber’s “Baby” with the Supremes’ “Where Did Our Love Go,” and while it seemed a bit odd to perch her atop a platform while dancers swirled around her, you can’t deny that she nailed it.

As Paula said, “You can do anything you want… You’re the most likeable girl I’ve ever met.. You’re awesome.”

And with good reason. Rachel Crow is adorable, has a great personality (and a little bit of sass!) – and can sing.

Even Simon Cowell loved her!

Rachel Crow got high marks from X Factor judges Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid, Cheryl Cole, and Simon Cowell.

What did you think of her audition?

Paula Abdul will join The X Factor’s judges’ panel, along with L.A. Reid and Cheryl Cole, as well as Cowell. The X Factor will be hosted by Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones.

Cowell made the announcment about Paula Abdul, saying in a statement, “This show would never have been the same without Paula and I can’t believe I am saying this, [but] I have missed her a lot, and I am thrilled she’s on the show.”

Abdul is happy about the new gig, beaming, “I am excited beyond words to be a part of The X Factor. I couldn’t be happier to bring my love for cultivating talent and performance to such a wildly anticipated show.

Abdul added, “I’m looking forward to being back with the FOX/FremantleMedia family and know that it will be an extraordinary journey — we’re going to have a blast. I’m also delighted and grateful to be sitting next to Simon again…but you might want to check back with me in a week or two!”

TMZ.com is reporting the rumored development deal and there’s been buzz about Abdul taking on Dancing with the Stars before… but is there any truth to it?

ABC is also reportedly on board with Paula judging “The X Factor” with Simon Cowell – another rumor that’s been floating in the breeze.

Dancing with the Stars kicks off in March, so if this is true, Paula has to make a quick decision.

Simon Cowell will stick around for this season of American Idol, but after that he jumps ship and plans to have X Factor on U.S. TVs in fall 2011.

Cowell created the UK version of X Factor in 2004 and will serve as executive producer and judge on the American version.

Cowell tells reporters, “The X Factor will launch in 2011. Because of that, this will be my last season on American Idol.”

American Idol kicks off with season 9 on Tuesday at 8 p.m.

Sure it can! But it might not be nearly as much fun.

While Simon Cowell and Fox aren’t commenting on the rumors, Cowell’s brother confirmed during his podcast, The Cowell Factor, that Simon will be leaving Idol.

His brother commented: “A press statement is being prepared which will confirm what everybody expected: Simon will leave Idol at the end of 2010 to concentrate on bringing the American version of X Factor to U.S. TV in 2011.”

Simon’s contract with American Idol expires at the end of 2010; the American X Factor is expected to debut in 2011.

In response, Simon Cowell told the Sunday Mirror:

“You see a grown-up Sharon behaving like this in public. I think it’s wrong. Certain things should be done behind closed doors – the limelight shouldn’t be taken from the contestants. I wish Sharon would ask my advice before she does things instead of trying to deal with it herself.

Sharon would be the first to admit that we’ve had a turbulent relationship over the last three or four years, but I’ve got to know her a lot better this year.

In regard to Dannii Minogue’s judging qualifications, Simon Cowell said:

“I was intrigued as to whether or not she could do the job. She’s done a ton of songs, movies, ‘Grease’ and ‘Home and Away’. That’s exactly the sort of experience you need to be a judge. And she’s worked harder with the artists than anyone else. She did 20-hour days.”
