Elisabeth Hasselbeck gave birth to a baby boy on Friday, but she kept fans of “The View” waiting until this morning to deliver his name. Baby Taylor Thomas weighed 7 pounds and 15 ounces. She phoned the show this morning to announce his name and is planning her return to the gabfest on January 6, 2008.

Friday morning, Elisabeth Hasselbeck gave birth to her and her husband’s second child, a boy. The proud father confirmed that both the baby and Elisabeth are healthy, and said, “Elisabeth and I are happy to announce the arrival of our son and we’re thrilled he arrived safely.”

The baby boy weighed 7 pounds and 15 ounces at birth, however his name has not yet been revealed. The couple plans on keeping that private until Monday morning when she can call in to her former co-hosts.

“The View” airs Monday through Friday on ABC at 11am, and has co-hosts of various ages and backgrounds, discussing hot topics, entertainment, celebrities, and often have expert interviews.

The reason that Barbara Walters trashed Heather “poor me” Mills on The View earlier this week may be more than just because Heather is a greedy bitch who is now playing the WAHHH card. Apparently Barbara is the second cousin of Nancy Shevell, Paul McCartney’s new girlfriend. I love good drama.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck has left her spot as co-host on The View as she heads out for 2 1/2 months of maternity leave. Thank GOD. I can enjoy the show again without risking straining my eyeballs with all the eye-rolling she was causing me.

Jessica Simpson will co-host ‘The View’ in place of Elisabeth Hasselbeck on November 15 and 16.
