New mom Elisabeth Hasselbeck is plenty busy, according to her blog post at Dreft.com baby diary. Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s son, Taylor, was born on November 9 and Hasselbeck says she is “turning a corner physically.” She is also lacking in the sleep department but has enough wits about her to blog about Taylor’s belly button.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck told 2-year-old daughter Grace that the belly button cord ”would fall off, then it would look just like hers.” And it did fall off – but they couldn’t find it. Later on, it was discovered on the floor, and Elisabeth Hasselbeck blogs, “Oddly, it was both cute and gross at the same time. I was caught somewhere between wanting to save it and wanting to vacuum it!”
Barbara Walters has snagged the first interview with radio personality Don Imus, who was fired in April for his racist and sexist on-air remarks about the Rutgers women’s basketball team. Barbara Walters’ interview with Don Imus will air on her “10 Most Fascinating People of 2007” special on December 6th on ABC. Do his comments and subsequent scandal make him fascinating? Seems Walters could have set her sights a little higher.
John Edwards and Barack Obama’s wife, Michelle, were supposed to appear on yesterday’s “The View,” but boycotted the show instead – and Whoopi is unhappy.
The political pair were set to appear on “The View,” but backed out, saying they wanted to show their allegiance to the writers on strike. This didn’t sit well with “View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg, who told the audience, “It could have been handled differently. Because what they said made it look like we don’t care. We support the writers strike.”
“The View” co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is the resident republican of the chatfest’s panel, so the well wishes from Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Hasselbeck’s new baby seem surprising. Clinton sent Hasselbeck a congratulatory note about the recent birth of son Taylor Thomas. The New York Post is reporting that Hasselbeck emailed Barbara Walters about the note, saying it was “truly a most thoughtful and warm act. I may actually change my vote.”
Hayden Christensen was a guest on The View on Monday. While he was there, he discussed the new movie he stars in along with Jessica Alba – the film, called Awake deals with a traumatic case of anesthesia awareness, where a patient is unknowingly fully aware of what is going on during an operation, something that FREAKS ME OUT completely. Check out the discussion!
Yesterday on the View, Jessica Simpson demonstrated exactly what’s on her mind: men, music, and clothing. She was asked to co-host the show, but sat stupidly through the politics and current issues portion of the show. She also didn’t have many questions for the guests, either.
“I’m kinda married to my music right now, focusing on writing an album,” said Jessica. “As far as boys go, I don’t need ‘em. I want a man. Somebody who’s a real family guy.” Good to know she knows what she wants.
Cindi Berger, the show’s rep said, “Jessica was graciously invited to co-host, and the show allowed her to unveil the Jessica Simpson collection.”
Jorja Fox appeared as a guest co-host on yesterday’s “The View,” where she spoke candidly about leaving the hit show “CSI.” While she says she believes her character (Sara Sidle) will be back, she commented on taking the time to “breathe for a second and take a look around” after being “fortunate to have had 11 and a half years on prime-time.”
Whoopi Goldberg celebrated her birthday today on The View. To help the audience feel festive with her, she received a strawberry shortcake birthday cake by Cake Man Raven of Brooklyn, NY. and everyone in the audience got a piece! Then she said that her other favorite snack is the Retro Raspberry Jam bar so those were passed out as well.
The cake looked awesome, I’d love to be in that audience some day because they always get great gifts.
