Nicole Richie is taking a break from her court-mandated anti-drinking program due to a medical condition. Namely, being pregnant. According to her rep, the program is concerned about Nicole Richie’s safety, saying, “They offer that option to anyone with a medical condition of any kind. She is not receiving special treatment.”
Nicole Richie is currently eight months pregnant.
Nicole Richie seems to have softened her outlook during her pregnancy. Nicole Richie and boyfriend/baby daddy Joel Madden are joining the ranks of celebrity do-gooders with the Richie Madden Children’s Foundation. Their first act of kindness? Holding a surprise baby shower yesterday for 100 pregnant and new moms at the Los Angeles Free Clinic. Nicole and Joel gave out more than $200,000 in gifts to the 100 moms.
According to Joel Madden, the reason for the foundation is to give to the community, saying, “We grew up in Los Angeles and we want our child to be a part of the community, and to know that there’s a responsibility to help the community.”
Nicole Richie and Joel Madden’s baby is due in January.
Now this just isn’t right. I don’t understand the need to plump up your lips that much, but hey – it’s another day in the headlines for Paris Hilton and her impossibly huge lip injections.
Kids know who’s naughty and nice on the celebrity scene… a new poll of 1,107 children found that Britney Spears and Paris Hilton made their naughty list, while Hannah Montana was considered nice. Among kids ages 2 to 12, Hanna Montana (Miley Cyrus) was the “nicest,” while kids ages 13 to 17 put Angelina Jolie at the top of their nice list.
Britney Spears and Paris Hilton were even found to be more naughty than characters Swiper the Fox, the Grinch and Darth Vader, among kids 2 to 12 years old. The teenagers, however, ranked Lindsay Lohan as their third naughtiest behind the pop tart and the heiress.
Paris Hilton must have been serious when she said that she wanted a baby to play with Nicole’s baby, because now she’s taken her new boyfriend, Swedish model Alex Vaggo to meet her family for dinner. Paris Hilton says that she wants a baby so her and Nicole Richie can have playdates while their children play together. According to People, Paris said:
“I don’t have a boyfriend right now,” the Simple Life star insisted. “But I would love to start a family.”

Former “Simple Life” star Paris Hilton is saying she didn’t leak Nicole Richie’s baby shower pictures. Honest. Would she do that?
Paris Hilton was one of the hostesses for Nicole Richie’s Wizard of Oz-themed baby shower in Beverly Hills. Gossip hounds are speculating that Hilton was involved in the media leak because she was in most of the photos, but her spokesperson says, “Paris was a hostess of the shower, which a large number of people attended. Many of these guests were taking photos with camera phones… there is no way she had anything to do with this.”
You’d think former “Simple Life” star Nicole Richie would be super focused on her upcoming adventure into motherhood. But she’s got her eye on another project until baby Richie is born — promoting doggy urinals. Yeah, that’s right. Urinals for dogs. To eliminate that pesky problem of doggy urine eroding lampposts and street lights. Seriously.
Richie is promoting a product from Swedish inventor Lennart Jarlerbro — dog urinals which are tied to street lights. According to Richie, “This invention is just so clever. It’s a cute rubber cup attached to the post and a hose that pipes urine into the gutter.” The inventor claims that his invention could add 15 years to the lifespan of a lamppost (average lifespan is 30 years).
