Rumors have been swirling that Steve Carell‘s character, Michael Scott, could be leaving Dunder Mifflin. Carell isn’t leaving the show, but The Office could be getting a new boss. Idris Elba, ex-The Wire star, is coming to Scranton for a six-week stay and could be taking over Jan’s job, which Michael wanted desperately.
Rumor has it that Michael and another employee decide that rather than work for Elba’s character, they will quit. No official word on who the other character is, but I am assuming Dwight Schrute (played by Rainn Wilson).
What do you think of these changes? I personally think a new face around the Office could create some fun situations!

We can finally stop saying “that new untitled Amy Poehler comedy…” – it’s got a name! “Public Service,” starring Poehler and Rashida Jones, will premiere on NBC April 9 at 8:30 p.m.
Public service comes from The Office executive producers, but will not cross paths with the Scranton-based comedy, but will follow The Office on Thursday nights.
