Kelly Kapoor fans take note – The Office writer/co-star Mindy Kaling just signed a deal with NBC to develop a new comedy series in which she would also star. Not to worry though, as part of the deal, Kaling will still continue to write for and appear as Kelly on The Office next season.

Did you catch the new opening credits for “The Office” last night? If you missed it, watch the new opening credit sequence video that features the “Michael Scott Paper Company.”
Rumors have been swirling that Steve Carell’s character, Michael Scott, could be leaving Dunder Mifflin. Carell isn’t leaving the show, but The Office could be getting a new boss. Idris Elba, ex-The Wire star, is coming to Scranton for a six-week stay and could be taking over Jan’s job, which Michael wanted desperately.
Rumor has it that Michael and another employee decide that rather than work for Elba’s character, they will quit. No official word on who the other character is, but I am assuming Dwight Schrute (played by Rainn Wilson).
What do you think of these changes? I personally think a new face around the Office could create some fun situations!

Check out the new opening credits for The Office in the video clip.
