Will Ferrell The Office Permanent Gig? Will Ferrell to Replace Steve Carell?

Is Will Ferrell replacing Steve Carell on The Office forever? Could Will Ferrell’s The Office guest starring role turn into a permanent gig?

Will Ferrell himself told EW over the weekend, “I’m taking over. My character’s name is Deangelo Vickers… he loves the American Southwest, and he’s just kind of in his own way going to step into Michael Scott’s shoes and try to fill them.”

Ferrell added that the four episodes have turned into “a regular, full-time gig.”

Yeah, I’m not buying it… something tells me that Will Ferrell was just kidding around, with EW noting that an Office insider said, “Will was likely joking, but time will tell.”

Look for Will Ferrell on The Office on April 14.

Watch The Office proposal in this video clip – Michael Scott proposes to Holly Flax in a really sweet way, and the fact that a hundred candles caused the fire alarm to go off and the sprinkler system to rain down on them only made it more special.

Was I the only one that cried over Michael and Holly’s engagement, which included a walk through all of the special areas for the couple, as well as the whole Dunder Mifflin crew? It was, in a word, perfect.

You can watch the whole episode of The Office (“Garage Sale”) season 7 episode 19 in the video below. Michael wanted the proposal to be an event, but I think they got it just right (check around the 16:30 mark to watch the beginning of Michael’s proposal).

Steve Carell’s Michael Scott proposed to girlfriend Holly and they’re moving to Colorado so she can take care of her father. Steve Carell’s departure is just around the corner on The Office, so naturally with Will Ferrell coming in, fans are wondering if he’ll be the new Dunder Mifflin boss.

Will Ferrell will only be on The Office for four episodes, so he won’t be Michael Scott’s replacement, but what about Will Arnett, who will be on The Office finale?

Hmmm…. Arnett would be pretty great on The Office, don’tcha think?

Bonus: look for The Office creator, Ricky Gervais, to guest star in The Office finale as well.
