Harry Smith, Dave Price and Maggie Rodriguez were fired from The Early Show and replaced!

Of course, loyal fans of Harry Smith, Dave Price and Maggie Rodriguez aren’t too happy with the change – after the three were fired and replaced, a lot of viewers said they would stop watching The Early Show.

And the crowd goes wild as Robert Pattinson sits down with Jon Stewart in this March 2 Daily Show interview video clip. You’d think this interview thing would get easier for R-Patz by now, but he always seems so uncomfortable.

Lara Spencer, host of “The Insider,” said on today’s “The Early Show” that Jon wants to deny TLC permission to videotape his kids.

According to ‘The Insider, Jon Gosselin’s attorney, Mark J. Heller, has sent two cease and desist letters.

Spencer relays: “In two letters to TLC lawyers, dated September 29, 2009, Gosselin demands the network cease and desist production and leave his property. I want to quote one of the letters, Jon’s attorney writes, ‘Effective immediately, no production crews are to enter Jon’s family home for any reason. In the event that anyone enters the marital property, Jon Gosselin will notify the local authorities to effectuate police action against any trespassers.’ ”

Since Jon also owns the house that Kate Gosselin and the kids live in and has joint custody, he can make decisions about the welfare of the children.

So, when did all this Jon Gosselin shutting down Kate Plus 8 production go down? The very day that TLC sent a news release that the show was renamed and Jon’s participation was being downsized.

“Jon found out about the name change the same way we all did — through The Associated Press,” Spencer says. “He and his attorney assert to ‘The Insider’ they’ve been in discussions to pull plug on the program and take the kids off the show for weeks prior to (Tuesday’s) announcement.”

Denise Martin said during the live “Survivor: China” finale that she was demoted at her job as a result of being on the hit reality series. And then Mark Burnett awarded her $50,000 for her sorrows. More details plus a video clip after the jump.

The superintendent for the school Denise Martin works at called her on the lie and set the record straight – the two even appeared on The Early Show yesterday.

But what about the $50,000? Denise Martin is donating the money to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

Denise Martin said in a statement:

“I do not feel comfortable about accepting the $50,000. I would instead ask that it be donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Please accept my apology. I would also like to thank all the people who have supported me through this experience.”

During the live “Survivor: China” finale, Denise Martin said she had been demoted from a lunch lady to a janitor after competing on the reality series. The school superintendent issued a statement that Denise Martin’s claim was absolutely false.

This morning, Denise Martin and school superintendent Nancy T. Lane appeared on The Early Show.

Denise Martin did confirm that Nancy Lane’s statement was true: she had been promoted to a janitorial position with better pay. She also commented:

“It was not my intention to be misleading. Nancy has been outstanding to me. She has done everything possible. She has given me the leave of absences to be on the show.

I’m sorry. And I apologize to everybody. Believe me, I wish none of this had happened. I couldn’t say I’m sorry enough.”

Of course, folks probably wouldn’t be so up in arms about the whole “Survivor” scandal had Denise Martin not tugged at the old heart strings which prompted “Survivor” creator Mark Burnett to offer up $50,000 on the live finale.

During her fabricated sob story on the “Survivor: China” finale, Denise Martin said, “They didn’t give me my job back. I’m a janitor now. I clean toilets. I wash the floors in the bathroom. I vacuum the kids’ rugs.”

The superintendent received a multitude of negative emails and issued the statement as well as appeared on The Early Show alongside Denise Martin. Lane said:

“What I really what to do is make sure the community has a chance to realize that Denise is sorry. It really cast a negative light on the whole experience for the entire community. I feel badly for them.”

Julie Chen, who conducted The Early Show interview asked Denise Martin if she planned to keep the $50,000. Martin shook her head from side to side, but only answered, “I love my town. I love my community. Nancy does a great job.”
