Given the recent scandal with Miss Puerto Rico, it’s interesting timing for the new CW Network reality series, “Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants.” The mother/daughter beauty pageant reality show begins December 12 at 9 PM, after the season finale of “America’s Next Top Model.” The seven remaining episodes of “The Mother of All Pageants” will air Wednesdays at 8 PM. The winning mother/daughter team will get $100,000.
Oh, and incidentally, no traces of pepper spray were found on Miss Puerto Rico’s belongings. Scandalous!

The fifth season of the CW’s “One Tree Hill” is set to begin with a two-hour premiere on Tuesday, January 8th at 8PM. Beginning January 15th, “One Tree Hill” will air at 9PM, removing “Reaper” from the schedule.
Here’s where it gets interesting: the show will speed things up by entirely skipping the college years. The fourth season, you may recall, ended with high school graduation. Season five picks up post-college. Should be interesting.

The CW’s Gossip Girl has been making a buzz. What’s the deal? This rather scandalous teen drama has been called a combination of Sex and the City and The OC. As it turns out, this show has plans to only become more scandalous in the future, bringing it even closer to those two shows. It has the Sex and the City look but younger and slightly different.
The wealthy teens in this show are pressured to measure up to what their parents are – and what they have. In an interview with E! News, Penn Badgley, who plays Dan Humphrey on the show said that, “When there’s nobody to make mistakes for you, you kinda end up having to learn on your own.”
Humphrey adds that one of the good things about this show is that the show portrays the kids who are doing drugs and having sex suffering repercussions.
Gossip Girl airs Wednesdays at 9pm on the CW.
