So, the Life Unexpected season finale may just serve as LUX’s series finale, too.

Kristoffer Polaha, who stars on Life Unexpected, gave this outlook on the fate of the series: “the official stance of the network is that Life Unexpected is not canceled.”

Taylor Momsen is reportedly on an “indefinite hiatus” from Gossip Girl – she’s only appeared on three episodes of the current season, though she’s a series regular.

E! News reports, however, that Taylor Momsen’s Gossip Girl contract extends through season seven, so she won’t be going anywhere anytime soon, though her role may be diminished a bit.

Hellcats’ season 1, episode 1 premiere airs at 9 p.m. on the CW, but you can watch the sneak peek video here, giving the rundown on Marti Perkins (Aly Michalka), a pre-law student who lost her scholarship and has to put her gymnastic talents to work to get a cheerleading scholarship.

The energy of Hellcats, cool choreography, and “Bring It On”-ish feel should make Hellcats a hit. Oh, and the cheerleading uniforms that show off the girls’ sculpted abs don’t hurt either!

The Gossip Girl TV ads tease a “3SOME” – an episode which PTC president Tim Winter says is “reckless and irresponsible.”

The promo video doesn’t reveal who will be in the threesome on the November 9 episode.

Winter wrote a letter to CW affiliates about the Gossip Girl episode, asking, “Will you now be complicit in establishing a precedent and expectation that teenagers should engage in behaviors heretofore associated primarily with adult films?”

CW spokesman Paul McGuire maintains that the target audience for Gossip Girl is 18- to 34-year-old women.

At this point, it’s all rumor… while Ashlee Simpson’s castmates may not have enjoyed working with her, there’s little argument that Simpson is lacking in the acting talent department.

News that Ashlee Simpson was fired from Melrose Place broke last week – Simpson played Violet Foster on the re-do of the popular 1990s series.

An insider has reported that “Ashlee was kicked off Melrose Place because she was a total diva on set, late all the time, and deeply disliked by fellow cast members. It created a lot of discord among the cast.”

Of course, executive producer Todd Slavkin had a more professional take on giving Simpson the boot: “We felt that once the murder mystery (involving their characters) was resolved, the tone of the show was going to shift … and (Simpson-Wentz’s) character would move on.”

Then there are rumors that Ashlee was booted to make more room in the budget for Heather Locklear’s character to return.

I guess the biggest question here is… “Is anyone even watching Melrose?”

A source told Us Weekly that Ashlee Simpson was hired “because they needed a good name to help create buzz”… “But she was embarrassingly bad,” and “She’s the worst actress, but nobody will tell her.”

The Beautiful Life starred Mischa Barton and was produced by Ashton Kutcher, but even that pedigree couldn’t save its ass.
