In the battle of Glenn Beck rally attendance vs. the Rally to Restore Sanity attendance… who won? The Glen Beck rally attendance was said to have drawn 87,000, while Jon Stewart’s Rally to Restore Sanity’s early estimates for attendance are being reported between 150,000 to 250,000 attendees.
Of course, reports on the Rally to Restore Sanity attendance are varied, with the Associated Press noting that Stewart’s rally “appeared to rival Beck’s rally in attendance,” and CEO of MTV Networks Judy McGrath telling The New York Times that the National Park Service said “well over 200,000 people” were at the National Mall today.
