It’s been a couple of months since the proposal, but they talk about how they have a “solid relationship,” with Ashley calling J.P. her “rock.”

Ashley Hebert plans to move to New York to be with J.P., so we’ll see how that plays out in the coming months.

As for a wedding, Rosenbaum says, “She’ll get a job, we’ll get settled and then talk about wedding. Maybe end of next year, fall of next year.”

Will it last? Hebert says, “We’re going to prove them wrong.”

I’m pulling for ya, kids, but the chances of a reality show relationship working out is pretty slim.

Runner up Chantal O’Brien was not picked to be the Bachelorette because she revealed during the After the Final Rose special that she has a boyfriend, leaving some disappointed that Chantal won’t be The Bachelorette.

Bachelor spoiler king Reality Steve buzzed that Emily Maynard would not be the next Bachelorette because Brad Womack and Emily are engaged. With Chantal O’ Brien as the runner-up, she’d be the logical choice, but Reality Steve says she’s dating somebody already.

In a statement to People.com, Julien Hug’s parents write:

“In his letter to us he stated that he was suffering from acute depression and he felt it was his only way out. While publicly outgoing he was an extremely private person who internalized everything.

To us Julien was as beautiful inside as he was outside and we wish to have him remembered in this way, a way he deserves and would appreciate, not by false comments from people outside the family. No one he has touched will ever forget him, most of all us.”

Julien Hug’s mysterious death follows Monday’s report that he was missing. Hug’s body was found two days later; his death is under investigation, with an autopsy scheduled for Thursday.

Julien Hug’s father, Bertrand, said that his son was on his way to help with the management of their family’s restaurant in Palm Desert.

Julien Hug was a competitor on the Jillian Harris installment of The Bachelorette.

Harris posted on Twitter: “Please say a prayer for the loss of a friend this morning. Life is fragile, don’t forget to love the ones you love.”
