Hot off of the 15th season of “Survivor” and the reality series is announcing a new curve ball. Check out this “Survivor: Micronesia” promo video that aired during the “Survivor: China” finale. In this edition, superfans of the series will be competing against all-star favorites (hence the Fans vs. Favorites title). Already, spoilers have been released about which favorites will be on the latest Survivor, set to debut February 7 at 8 PM (ET).
“Survivor: China” contestant Denise Martin claimed on the reunion show that she was demoted from a lunch lady to a janitor because of her involvement on the reality series. Turns out, the school district she works for says Denise Martin was always a janitor and was never demoted.
On the reunion show, Denise Martin said she was demoted because her bosses “didn’t give me my job back.” She also claimed to be “missing out on a lot more” with her family due to the job change. Mark Burnett offered Denise $50,000. Video and more after the jump Read the rest of this entry »
Todd Herzog took the $1 million “Survivor: China” prize tonight, beating Courtney Yates and Amanda Kimmel. The “Survivor: China” finale votes were four for Herzog, two for Yates and one for Kimmel.
Todd Herzog, the 22-year-old flight attendant from Utah, said of his win, “I wasn’t the strongest. I wasn’t the smartest. But I was definitely the most strategic.”
This is it folks – we’re down to the final four on Survivor China and are poised on the big finale episode. Who do you think will win Survivor China?
The remaining contestants are Todd Herzog, Amanda Kimmel, Denise Martin and Courtney Yates. The finale airs Sunday with a three-hour finale (the finale airs 8 PM through 10 PM and the reunion show begins at 10 PM).
Has Instinct magazine, which claims to be “America’s #1 gay men’s magazine,” let the cat out of the bag about who wins “Survivor: China”? The cover features one of the “Survivor” contestants with the title “Million Dollar Man…” The interview, however, doesn’t reveal whether the cover person wins the show – plus, final votes are read at the live finale in December, so the outcome is unknown at this point.
Chances are the cat is still very much in the bag until the finale show.
Last night, Survivor Lorette Mostert won the South African version of Survivor. She was voted in by viewers through a viewer’s choice competition, not by the producers like other Survivor survivors.
“I’m so very surprised. I just was in the game as myself and my strategy was just to do my best and I’m just so amazed that I made it to the end.” Her fellow contestants respected her, calling her hard-working and honest.
The Police Woman adds that even with the money, she has no plans to quit her job anytime soon. “Anybody who is a police officer does not do it for the money, but to help people.” We could use more people like that.
Because we haven’t seen enough Survivor all these years, Survivor China will begin the 15th season of the series in less than a month. They’ll be filming on islands off the coast of China with 16 new contestants. Does anyone care anymore?
