With all of the 2008 Super Bowl XLII coverage today, I’m beginning to wonder if the Super Bowl is ever going to start. Since when does Super Bowl television coverage occupy a whole day? With pre-show stuff going on, one has to wonder if we’ll ever make it to Super Bowl kickoff time.
Then again, it gives us all the more time to pig out on Super Bowl food and beer!
Get ready for the New England Patriots vs. the NY Giants tonight on Fox, with the Super Bowl beginning at 6 PM (ET) and kickoff going down at about 6:20 PM (ET) (although some sites say 6:18, so tune in early!). And if you live in another time zone, that’s 5:20 Central time, 4:20 Mountain and 3:20 PM Pacific.
Sounds like “American Idol” judge Paula Abdul has caught the singing bug again. By now you know that her new single (her first in 10 years!) “Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow” will turn up on ‘Randy Jackson’s Music Club Volume One’ album — and we’ll see the video for that tune during the Super Bowl pre-game show.
Paula Abdul announced on her website that an album is coming out this summer, titled ‘Abdulmatic.’ (Uh, you may want to rethink that one.)
‘Randy Jackson’s Music Club Volume One’ will be released March 11th.
Are you ready for Super Bowl Sunday? Besides the obvious reasons for tuning in (football, commercials), be on the lookout for some big names in music to entertain as well.
