South Park kicked off the 13th season last night with a hilarious episode that took on the Jonas Brothers, their purity rings, the Disney machine and an opportunity for Kenny to get lucky. Check out this video clip where Mickey Mouse insists on the Jonas Brothers wearing their rings so they can continue to sell sex to little girls.
Authorities are reporting the cause of death for Isaac Hayes – the legendary singer and South Park voice talent died of a stroke on Sunday.
While no autopsy has yet been performed (and one is not expected to be performed), the Hayes’ family physician, Dr. David Kraus, listed stroke as the cause of death.
The medical examiner’s office has not released an official cause of death.
Eleven seasons of episodes, the satire “South Park” is something I definitely wasn’t allowed to watch as a child. Now, though, it’s something I find hard to dislike. This satire about 4 elementary-aged boys is funny, hilarious, and at times, very eye-opening. The writers and producers bring to light the ridiculous things that really do tend to be important in our society, make fun of people – especially political candidates and celebrities – and also broach some very serious topics, even addressing political issues, like terrorism.
In this most recent episode, Kyle and Stan get to hang with the celebrities after they get more than 100,000 points on Guitar Hero. I’ve never played that game, but I had a lot of fun making fun of my boyfriend trying to play it last night. Coincidentally, two elementary boys had to help us out. In true South Park fashion, the boys see Jay Cutler, and make fun of him.
Every episode has something. It’s hard not to laugh at a show that makes light of our society – even if I would never recommend it for kids, and even if I’m frequently horrified by the lines it crosses.
