“Saturday Night Live” is offering up a little holiday fun this weekend, with a holiday special titled, “Thanksgiving Leftovers.” It’s all previously-aired holiday-themed skits, but it’s probably good for a few laughs.

150 audience members had the distinct pleasure of seeing a very different “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend. A sold out live theater performance of “Saturday Night Live – On Strike!” was performed Saturday night in Manhattan at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.
Guest host Michael Cera, of “Arrested Development” and “Superbad,” musical guest Yo La Tengo, Norah Jones (in a cameo appearance), and former cast members Rachel Dratch and Horatio Sanz performed. Read the rest of this entry »
With the strike in full swing, “30 Rock” and “Saturday Night Live” casts will perform live performances this weekend in New York at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. Proceeds from the ticket sales will go to a strike fund. “Saturday Night Live” will be performed Saturday at 11:30PM, while the “30 Rock” performance is scheduled for Monday at 8PM. “Superbad” and “Arrested Development” star Michael Cera will guest host the “SNL” performance. The shows are sold out.
Amy Poehler, of “SNL,” said in a statement, “We are doing this to raise spirits, raise awareness and raise money for our hardworking production crews who will be having a hard holiday season if this strike continues.”
Justin Timberlake and “Saturday Night Live” cast member Andy Samberg won a Primetime Emmy Award on Saturday night for their controversial December 2006 sketch, ‘Dick In A Box.’ Read the rest of this entry »
Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg are in talks to perform the controversial “Dick in a Box” SNL hit skit during the 2007 Primetime Emmy Awards at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium on September 16th.
