Behold, one of the weakest SNL Digital Short videos – lots of shots of Fred Armisen opening the bathroom door, elevator door, leaving a building, working out at the gym, etc. – and finding Andy Samberg on the toilet.
Yep, a guy on a toilet “Get out!” sketch… but I’ll give them the ending, because it wraps up pretty funny.
This SNL sketch video – “A Ladies Guide to Throwing a Party” – was one of the few things that January Jones did right on Saturday Night Live. She nails the 50s housewife like it’s her job (see Mad Men) and the fact that it’s a pre-taped piece allows Jones to get it just right, something she had trouble with during any of the live sketches.
What did you think of “A Ladies Guide to Throwing a Party”? A “dash of gin” in the punch was pretty funny, as were the various guest greetings.
Nasim Pedrad turned in a pretty funny Kim Kardashian in this SNL Weekend Update sketch video clip – I’m not sure she’s so good at impersonating Kardashian (her voice isn’t that high, is it?), but the inflection, posing and butt commentary were worth a giggle.
The January Jones hosted Saturday Night Live was bad overall, but I suppose there’s something a little funny about the juxtaposition of the beautiful Jones playing Grace Kelly with a farting problem in this “Rear Window” Hitchcock sketch.
Check out the video clip of one of the few SNL sketches that was funny – because fart humor rarely fails.
Check out the Saturday Night Live promo videos with January Jones and Fred Armisen. January Jones hosts SNL on November 14, with musical guest Black Eyed Peas.
Amy Poehler stops in at the SNL Weekend Update desk on November 7 to do the Really??!! segment with Seth and Amy. In this video clip, Seth and Amy talk about Goldman Sachs getting flu shots.
I had higher expectations for this Saturday Night Live/SNL “The View” sketch – but Taylor Swift really fell flat as Kate Gosselin. Check out the video clip… at least the Gosselin wig is a funny sight gag.
I’m not sure Taylor Swift adds much to this Saturday Night Live/SNL “Scared Straight” sketch, but Kenan Thompson never fails to bring the funny in this bit. Extra bonus: Bill Hader loses it toward the end and starts cracking up – check out the video clip.
