Zach Braff took to Facebook yesterday in a video to confirm that no, he is not dead … and yes, the guy who started the Zach Braff death hoax buzz was, in fact, a douche.
Check out Zach Braff’s “I’m Alive” Facebook video, where he says, “I’m here at Scrubs shooting the new Scrubs title sequence which is a little bit like dying, so I guess that was semi-accurate. Here’s the latest death hoax… a fake CNN.com page was circulating today showing a news story that Zach Braff is dead. In fact, Zach Braff is not dead, though the hoax drummed up enough believers to make “Zach Braff” a Twitter trending topic.

So, now that scrubs is going to carry on for another season, what will the ninth season of the medical sitcom look like? For one thing, next season’s Scrubs will not take place at the Sacred Heart hospital that we’ve come to know and love – nope, the series will head to the classrom with med-school professors Dr. Cox (John C. ABC has decided to give Scrubs another year, renewing the hospital comedy for its ninth season. Zach Braff is confirmed to have signed on for six episodes, but the rumor that Sarah Chalke did the same deal is not yet a sure thing.
Donald Faison, John C. McGinley and Neil Flynn will also return for season 9. No word yet on which new characters will join the cast or if the format of Scrubs will change. Read the rest of this entry »
I’m a longtime fan of Scrubs and I thought the season finale was about as perfect a way to wrap things up as possible… but rumors of ninth season renewal persist, and with stars Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke signing on for a six episode deal, it looks like it may push ahead.
I have no doubt there’s still life left in Scrubs, but I had made peace with the series ending and was more than thrilled with the finale. Why not end on a high note, right? Read the rest of this entry »

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Scrubs may return for a ninth season… ABC is in talks to renew the doc comedy with some or all of the original cast members retrurning part-time or full time.

The season finale of Lost has been set for May 13, dodging a head to head with the American Idol finale on May 20. Lost’s finale was originally to air on the 20th, but the date was bumped up a week for the two-hour season ender.
