So, Saturday Night Live added two new female cast members… but also cut two players in the process. Casey Wilson and Michaelia Watkins have been fired from SNL to make way for the new ladies, Jenny Slate and Nasim Pedrad.
Michaela Watkins commented, “The only explanation I got from [Lorne Michaels] — and he’s not known to say things just to make people feel better — was that he felt deep down that I should have my own show. And I agreed. SNL was a dream come true for me. It was a fantastic year. I don’t have any regrets.”
Megan Fox will be hosting the premiere episode of Saturday Night Live when SNL returns with new shows on September 26. I’m doubting that Megan Fox has the comedic chops to pull this gig off, but she’s hot… so that’s something.
According to an inside source, “Megan is psyched to have gotten this opportunity. She has a lot of surprises in store for the audience. This is the perfect opportunity for her to show off her comedic skills, as she’s launching her new movie Jennifer’s Body.”Read the rest of this entry »
Buzz that Jeremy Piven and Chris Kattan got in a catfight backstage at MTV talk show Alexa Chung are not true, according to Piven’s rep.

Though former SNL/current 30 Rock funnyman Tracy Morgan and his wife, Sabina, have been separated for eight years, Morgan has finally filed for divorce.
Tracy Morgan and Sabina, his high school sweetheart, have been married for 23 years and have three sons together.
Amy Poehler will be returning to SNL! Kinda. Sorta. A little bit.
NBC plans to bring Amy Poehler back for the special Saturday Night Live Weekend Update Thursday… and only for the September 17 and September 24 shows. After rumors of a big screen version of SNL’s MacGruber, we finally have confirmation – a MacGruber movie is in the works, with Jorma Taccone set to direct. Will Forte will play the title character, with Ryan Phillippe and Val Kilmer in negotiations to also join the cast. SNL’s Kristen Wiig will play MacGruber’s assistant.
