Sarah Palin is set to be a guest on Oprah Winfrey’s show in November – look for the Sarah Palin/Oprah interview on Monday, November 16.

This will be the first meeting for Oprah and Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska and Republican vice presidential candidate.

While Palin is set to be interviewed by Oprah to promote her new book, “Going Rogue: An American Life,” I can’t help but hope that Oprah will call Sarah out on some of the idiot comments she’s made.

If you’re a faithful Christina Applegate fan who was crushed by the “Samantha Who?” cancellation news, there is hope – a Save Samantha Who online petition has been started to get network execs’ attention in an attempt to get the series back on the air.

Samantha Who was reportedly canceled due to economic reasons, but you can put your name on the Samantha Who petition – and maybe it’ll stick around a little longer.

A Christina Applegate smoking picture has people talking – the “Samantha Who?” star was snapped smoking a cigarette in LA the other day. It’s making big news, considering Christina Applegate is a recent breast cancer survivor.

Christina Applegate’s smoking photo is drawing criticism since the star announced she was cancer-free after undergoing a double mastectomy last year.

Smoking is the leading cause of lung cancer and several other forms of cancer – and definitely not the smartest choice for a healthy lifestyle. Women who smoke also have an increased risk of developing breast cancer.

A source told The Insider, “Christina had been a smoker for quite some time. She stopped smoking when she received her health news last year but, as everyone knows, it’s difficult to break an addictive smoking habit. Considering all the stress she’s had over the years, she had that occasional weak moment which has led to the occasional cigarette. We need to remember she’s only human.”

Christina Applegate’s mother is also a breast cancer survivor.

Ugly Betty Bumped, Not Canceled – Betty on Hiatus

Ugly Betty will be taking a break. ABC has put Ugly Betety on hiatus beginning March 26, replacing it with episodes of Samantha Who? and the new comedy In the Motherhood. Does this mean Betty is canceled?

No. An ABC spokesperson commented, “The Thursday night block is a good opportunity to launch these comedies. That said, Betty is a solid performer and there is no question that it will definitely be back to complete its season, just without repeats.”

Ugly Betty should return in June.

Billy Zane to Replace Timothy Olyphant on Samantha Who?

Oh, this is just casting craziness! Titanic’s Billy Zane is going to replace the uber cute Timothy Olyphant on Samantha Who? – playing Sam’s ex, Funk.

Timothy Olyphant had to drop out of the role because he now stars on FX’s Damages.

Look for Billy Zane in an upcoming episode of Samantha Who? I’m not feelin’ it.

ABC Orders Seven Additional Episodes of Samantha Who?

Samantha Who? has gotten an additional episode order from ABC – adding seven to the second season, for a total of 20 episodes.

However, Samantha Who? still comes in two episodes under the traditional 22 episode full season order.

ABC explained that they didn’t need a full order of the sophomore series because they already have so much on their midseason plate.

Samantha Who? has had a relatively good season, grabbing 10.5 million viewers behind Dancing With the Stars, but winning in its time slot for women ages 18-49.
