Ryan Seacrest isn’t leaving E! News any time soon – the hardest working man in Hollywood has extended his contract as managing editor and anchor of E! News through early 2012.
Ryan Seacrest will continue on as an executive producer and host of E!’s Live From the Red Carpet. Ryan’s Seacrest Productions will continue to develop more projects for the cable network too.
Did you wonder if anyone would mention Paula Abdul’s mess up on the April 29 American Idol? Ryan Seacrest gives a short speech about dismissing the rumors about Paula Abdul on the previous night’s Idol (meaning, I guess Paula Abdul wasn’t drunk or on drugs, as some thought) in this video clip.

After 36 million votes, Kristy Lee Cook was eliminated during the April 16 American Idol results show.
Ryan tried to trick us out by grouping Jason Castro, Carly Smithson and Syesha Mercado in one group; David Cook, Kristy Lee Cook and Brooke White in another. Then he switched David Cook and Syesah Mercado at the end. Syesha Mercado, Kristy Lee Cook and Brooke White were in the bottom three, but it was Kristy Lee Cook who was sent packing.
Forget that rumor about Ryan Seacrest dating Sunset Tan “Ollie” girl Holly Huddleston — it looks like the American Idol host is moving on to a new girlfriend — Australian singer/actress Sophie Monk.

Ryan Seacrest isn’t the only one on American Idol donating his paycheck to Idol Gives Back — Simon Cowell will also give his paycheck up to the charity.
