Is Ryan Seacrest’s new girlfriend Julianne Hough? The Dancing with the Stars pro has been seen with Ryan Seacrest, but does that mean that Seacrest and Hough are dating?

Ryan Seacrest’s new girlfriend may very well be Julianne – the pair have been spotted “with their arms around each other during a walk on the beach in Malibu,” according to the NY Daily News.

A few days later, the couple were spotted at L.A. restaurant Red O.

Seacrest and Hough are shown in the above picture during a shopping trip in Malibu earlier in the week, with sources reporting, “Ryan Seacrest played the role of a patient boyfriend yesterday afternoon while accompanying his girlfriend Julianne Hough on a shopping trip to Malibu.”

Ace Showbiz reported that Ryan flew to Nashville to see Julianne’s recent CMA Music Festival performance.

A source close to the couple confirms the dating rumors, telling People.com: “Things have gotten more serious over the last month. They’re perfect for each other.”

And now, a Crystal Bowersox hospital update… Ryan Seacrest talked with American Idol executive producer Ken Warwick about what Crystal is in the hospital for and if the show will disqualify her from the competition if she can’t compete tonight.

Warwick was planning to have a Crystal Bowersox update later today, which would determine whether or not she can perform on tonight’s show.

If she continues to be ill (and Warwick wouldn’t comment on why she was hospitalized, but rumors say it’s diabetes related), Bowersox could be disqualified from the show.

Warwick commented, “If you’re in the Olympics and you’re going for the semi-final, for the final, if you don’t turn up, you don’t get straight through to the final.”

What a tough break that would be, especially for an early front-runner in the competition.

Ryan Seacrest bummed over Paula Abdul leaving American Idol? While we’re sure Ryan Seacrest’s fat paycheck will help him sleep at night, he is saddened that Paula Abdul is leaving Idol – in his words, he’s “bummed” over the way things worked out.

Ryan Seacrest told listeners of his KISS FAM radio show that he was stunned, saying “I was shocked” by Paula Abdul leaving American Idol.

Seacrest told listeners, “She’s a dear friend… I’m just bummed because we’ve worked together for so many years. It’s sad.”

Ryan Seacrest Megadeal on Horizon with American Idol Contract

Ryan Seacrest just keeps getting richer. Seacrest is finalizing his contract extension on American Idol, which will continue his hosting gig plus give him other development opportunities.

Sources are saying the contract keeps Ryan Seacrest as the Idol host for three years, and will make him one of the highest paid reality hosts on TV. His current pay scale was $100,000 per episode during the past season.

Ryan Seacrest is also likely to develop a series with Idol creator Simon Fuller under the new contract.
