Chris Daughtry returns to the American Idol stage during the May 6 results show. He and his band, Daughtry, will perform a new single called “No Surprise.” Daughtry’s as-yet-untitled second album is due out on July 14.

Turns out Celebrity Apprentice isn’t such a dud after all – NBC has renewed the celeb version of the reality show for another season. Celebrity Apprentice will return in spring 2010.

Paul Telegdy, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, NBC and Universal Media Studios said, “‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ is the ultimate business and reality show at the top of its game and has exploded in popularity this season while also raising an impressive amount of money for charity. It’s a valuable franchise and proven competitor and we’re thrilled to have Mr. Trump and Mr. Burnett back to create another brilliant season.”

Here we go… after 47 million votes, the American Idol April 29 results show revealed that Matt Giraud was eliminated.

The shocker? Adam Lambert and Kris Allen were in the bottom three.
