Willie Aames stops by the November 5 Today show to talk with Matt Lauer about losing it all – and his new reality show, “Broke and Famous” on VH1. Check out the video clip for more about Willie Aames hitting rock bottom.

Naturally, Kirstie Alley’s quest to lose weight will be front and center on the new show, as will her day-to-day life as a single parent.

A&E describes the show as showing Alley “producing a feature film, patenting multiple inventions, working hard to raise two normal Hollywood teenagers, taking care of eight ringtail lemurs and, on top of everything, looking for love.”

Why a new reality show for Kirstie Alley? According to A&E senior vice president for nonfiction and alternative programming, Robert Sharenow:

“Kirstie is exactly the kind of star A&E is drawn to. She is a multifaceted talent who connects with our audience on so many levels. Her personal life has been playing out in the media for years, but this will be the first time she’ll be opening up her home to reveal her real life for the cameras.”

So, what’s the latest Jon Gosselin apology? And will Kate forgive him?

Jon said during the public apology (seriously? people paid to see this?):

“It is hard for me to ask to be forgiven from someone who might never forgive me. I am saying this now to Kate, ‘I am sorry for doing all the things that I did.’”

Among other douchebag moves that he regrets, Jon said he felt badly for the public flings with Hailey Glassman and Star reporter Kate Major… oh, and that babysitter too.

Jon Gosselin said: “I’ll apologize to her for openly having relationships in the public eye. That was a huge mistake, because if she would’ve done that to me, I would have been extremely pissed off.”

While I’m not sure “Let’s Dance” will have the staying power of Dancing with the Stars, it may be worth a quick look. Check out Let’s Dance when it premieres November 23 at 9:30 p.m., following the DWTS performance finale.

In this video clip, ET’s Mary Hart asks if Hailey Glassman and Jon Gosselin are breaking up. The answer is not so clear, but Glassman tells Hart “I’ve tried to move on in all honesty. He and I need to sit down and talk.”

Jon Gosselin later released a statement that said: “Hailey says she thinks it’s a good idea that we both take some time right now and focus on each of our individual lives. It is important for me to go back to Pennsylvania and be with my children and get through this divorce and decide what I truly want out of life.”

Sounds like his PR peeps have a plan to get Gosselin back in the public’s good graces. Well, maybe… or maybe the damage is already done.

At any rate, Jon Gosselin says:

“I am troubled to learn that the media has accepted as true the scurrilous rumor that I would appear in a reality television program with Nadya Suleman. This is utterly false. I do however accept that some of my previous actions have in some way lent credence to such outrageous stories.

I further accept that I have allowed myself to become somewhat severed from my own moral anchor and be carried away by the challenges of fame. It is for this reason that I have endeavored of late to reconnect with my deeper, more spiritual, more altruistic self with regular study sessions and counseling.”

Gosselin will work with Rabbi Michael Shmuley for his “morality-centered-and-values-based advice, coupled with his profound commitment to fatherhood and family.”

Gosselin further commented: “I have always endeavored to be a loving father and a devoted parent who serves as a moral exemplar to his eight children…My father was my inspiration and moral compass. I intend to serve the same role for my own children by taking responsibility for my errors and making right any pain I have caused to those I love.”

Catch Jon Gosselin this Sunday at New York’s West Side Synagogue, where he says he will “publicly apologize in a sacred place to those whom I have hurt.”

“I could tell you that these steps are absolutely sincere and not intended for public consumption. But I know that ultimately I will be judged not by my words but my actions.

It is my sincere desire to use the fame I have so unexpectedly acquired to highlight mature, responsible behavior as well as the joys of fatherhood and family. I ask the public to please understand the challenges I face in living under constant public scrutiny, even as I am aware that I have at times courted that scrutiny. I am committed to making things right with Kate and especially my children. I ask you to please give me the opportunity to prove myself.”

Octomum Nadya Suleman was seen out and about with her 8 babies in devil costumes (she has 14 kids total). Discuss.

In an interview with The Insider, Hailey Glassman says that Jon is an angry dude, saying, “We’re at a point now where I don’t know why I love him. He gets frustrated and angry and I’m the one who gets the brunt. He’ll call me and take his anger out on me.”

Glassman continues: “He has ‘mantrums.’ I shouldn’t have to put up with being emotionally abused. I cry and say, ‘Why are you so mean to me?’ He takes it out on me. He talks over me so I can’t speak. Sometimes he has trouble with the truth and he will dance and dance around his lies.”

Apparently, Jon Gosselin also lied to Glassman’s mother, with Hailey commenting, “I love him, but as for my family and I, he needs to regain our trust. He lied to my mother.”

Being the homewrecker in the picture hasn’t made life easy for Glassman, who tells The Insider: “People judge me before they meet me. I get threats everyday. I get called a home wrecker and a fat whore. People will stare or point. It gets worse every day. It’s taken a toll on me. Jon sees I’m not happy. At what point is it too much?”

So, how about Glassman and Gosselin splitting? Guess it’s not happening just yet – Hailey says “I don’t want to leave him all alone. At the end of the day, I love him, but I dislike him at times. When I love someone, I would never hurt them.”

Of course, Jillian Michaels admitting she was a fat kid gives her a lot of cred as a trainer on both “The Biggest Loser” and her upcoming new series, “Losing It with Jillian.” After all, look how fit she is now!

On her new reality series, “Losing It with Jillian,” she’ll move in with different families each week and put them on the road to health and fitness.

So, just how fat of a kid was Jillian Michaels? As a teenager, Michaels said she weighed 175 pounds at 5 feet tall.

“Losing It with Jillian” will begin airing on NBC in 2010.

When Ellen asks about the public’s interest in her family, Kate Gosselin slams on Jon, saying, “Well, I think certain events take place that make us sitting ducks. That makes us easy targets. Certain ones of us speak a lot; others of us prefer to keep our mouths shut.”

Kate Gosselin says that with all the public scrutiny she’s “been very much targeted, torn apart.”
