Season two of Pushing Daisies doesn’t return on ABC until October 1 (8 p.m. ET/PT), but at least this Pushing Daisies promo video gives us a glimpse of what’s to come this season.

Pushing Daisies stars Lee Pace, Anna Friel, Chi McBride and Kristin Chenoweth – and is oh, so quirky and good! Both Lee Pace and Kristin Chenoweth were nominated for Emmys and Pushing Daisies received 12 Emmy nominations in total.

The 2008 Emmy nominations were announced this morning by Pushing Daisies’ Kristin Chenoweth and How I Met Your Mother’s Neil Patrick Harris (and both are 60th Emmy nominees as well!). ABC has finally confirmed the return of a number of fan favorite shows (now that the pesky writers’ strike is over!). I’ve been hearing from readers about when Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy will be back with new episodes.

Desperate Housewives will return April 13 with five new episodes and a two hour (!) finale. Grey’s Anatomy is back on April 24 with five new episodes. Read the rest of this entry »

Following news that the writers’ strike has ended and everyone in TV land is going back to work, ABC has announced that nine of the network’s shows have been renewed for the 2008-09 season.

Naturally, “Desperate Housewives,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Ugly Betty,” “Lost” and “Brothers & Sisters” will return… but four new shows have also been given the network’s blessing for a second season: “Pushing Daisies,” “Private Practice,” “Samantha Who?” and “Dirty Sexy Money.” Read the rest of this entry »
