Jerry Lewis ‘Illiterate Faggot’ Apology

Jerry Lewis has issued a public apology after dropping the term ‘Illiterate Faggots’ during his annual Labor Day Monday’s MDA Telethon.

“I apologize to anyone who was offended. Everyone who knows me understands that I hold no prejudices in this regard. In the family atmosphere of the telethon, I forget that not everyone knows me that well. That something like this would distract from the true purpose of the telethon pains me deeply. … I accept responsibility for what I said. There are no excuses.”

The 42nd Annual Labor Day Telethon took in aa record-setting $63.7 million in donations and pledges.

Another clip from the very bad Hey Paula! show.

It’s worth watching just because it’s funny seeing the fan get all hysterical and teary over meeting Paula Abdul, in the same way that it was hilarious seeing that one girl burst into tears over Sanjaya on American Idol. Some day these people are going to hate the Internet for capturing stuff like this for everyone to see.

Animated Lara Croft

Premiering on July 10th, Turner Broadcasting is bringing up an animated TV show about Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. The show will feature Minnie Driver as the voice of Lara.

I just don’t think an animated version will be as nice to look at as Angelina Jolie though.

Lauren Conrad and former ‘Desperate Housewives’/Paris Hilton BF Josh Henderson are a rumored item. The pair arrived seperately at Chris Evans and Eric Podwall’s annual birthday party at the Wallop Lounge at Eleven in L.A., over the weekend before heading home together.

According to a snitch, the two “were all over each other. They left the party hand-in-hand, and one of Lauren’s friends said they were going home together!”

Kate’s Private Practice

Although it was an unofficial announcement, via The Ellen Show, it was revealed that Kate Walsh’s new show Private Practice has definitely been picked up. Private Practice is the new Grey’s Anatomy spinoff. It will be joining 9 other pilots on ABC (seven dramas, three comedies).

If it does as well as Grey’s Anatomy, Kate Walsh will be on a winner of a show for the second time straight.

Eric and Danielle split after winning The Amazing Race

Eric and Danielle may have won a million bucks together after coming in first on Sunday’s season finale of The Amazing Race. However, they were briefly on Canada AM this morning and apparently money really CAN’T buy you love, as the two admitted they are no longer dating.

Danielle explained the break-up was not related to their arguments on the show (and Eric also mentioned that they only showed the bad moments but neglected all the incredible times they had together) but rather because he lives in Florida and she lives in New York; he tried living in NYC for awhile but didn’t like it and she’s not ready to head South but they are still close friends.
