Beyonce performs “America the Beautiful” in this We Are One Barack Obama Inauguration concert video. The other musicians and presenters at the January 18 inaugural event sang in this last song as well.
There’s been a bit of buzz that Jennifer Hudson will be singing the Star Spangled Banner at Barack Obama’s inauguration on January 20 – her rep, however, has confirmed that “There is no truth to this.”
Given the recent deaths in her family, it’s understandable that Jennifer Hudson will take some time off before performing.
President-elect Barack Obama shirtless pictures are hitting the Internet and causing a lot of excitement, it seems – check out the video clip above. Our soon-to-be president, his wife, Michelle Obama and their kids were snapped during their vacation in Hawaii.
Two things to note about the shirtless Obama pictures – 1) he’s in great shape and 2) privacy is probably a thing of the past for the President-elect.
The winner of Time magazine’s Person of the Year for 2008 was announced this morning on the Today show – and, not surprisingly – President-elect Barack Obama was named the winner.
Time magazine’s runners-up for 2008 Person of the Year included Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Governor Sarah Palin and Chinese director Zhang Yimou.
Fran Drescher, best known for her role on the series The Nanny, wants to be appointed to the U.S. Senate seat that Hillary Clinton will vacate now that she’s been named secretary of state.
According to Drescher’s spokesperson: “Fran Drescher, actress, women’s health advocate and public diplomacy envoy for the U.S. State Department, announced that she is throwing her hat into the ring of contenders for the senate seat being vacated by Secretary of State-designate Hillary Rodham Clinton.”Read the rest of this entry »
