Perez Hilton tells Ellen, “I’m not going to call people nasty nicknames. I’m not going to go the mean route. I’m going to force myself to be funnier or smarter…not out people. I have done all of those things in the past. I still want to be sassy and critical but I can do it without having to be mean or nasty.”

Is Perez Hilton growing up? In his personal YouTube video (below), he says he’s abandoning the cheap shots and will just be “sassy… without being hurtful or nasty.”

Hilton comments, “I need to be the change that I want to see,” adding that he wants to be a solution and “not part of the problem.”

Perez addresses criticism that he’s a bully and has been hurtful on his website, saying he would always justify it as comedy.

Will the kinder, gentler PerezHilton.com lose site visitors? Maybe. But Hilton doesn’t care. Way to do the right thing, Mario… it’s about time.

Perez Hilton maintains that he didn’t Photoshop the image in any way and that he didn’t post the image on his website, but rather posted a link to the site that had the image. The Miley photo was later removed.

ABC, on the other other hand, is punishing Hilton for the inappropriate (most likely fake) photo of the underage pop star – ABC has pulled advertising for The View from Perez’s site.

E! Online reports that a source close to the Cyrus’ said that the family will not file a criminal complaint, noting that Miley “just wants to move on…She thinks it’s the work of an idiot and wants to move forward.”

Perez Hilton has issued a statement to Entertainment Weekly about ABC pulling advertising from his site, saying:

“I find it odd that an advertiser would choose to pull an ad off my site because the photo in question, which was not pornographic and showed a fully clothed Miley Cyrus, was not posted on my website or even linked from my site. I look forward to addressing this and all of the inaccuracies about me being perpetuated when I appear on Joy Behar’s HLN show this evening.”

On The View this morning, the ladies discussed how Perez could find himself in a heap of legal trouble for posting the pantyless pics.

But, hold up… in the video clip, Perez says that Miley is of course wearing underwear, even posting a pic of Miley from that same day to prove his point.

Perez Hilton posted the following on Twitter: “If you are easily offended, do NOT click here (link removed) Oh, Miley! Warning: truly not for the easily offended!”

Miley Cyrus, don’t forget, is just 17 years old – the child pornography criticisms against Perez are building, as are accusations that Hilton Photoshopped the pic to make it appear that Miley wasn’t wearing panties.

Pretty crappy, even by Perez standards.
