Looks like American Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe isn’t big on Paula Abdul joining the cast of Dancing with the Stars as a contestant. Lythgoe isn’t giving Paula Abdul up for anything, according to his interview with In Touch Weekly.
Nigel Lythgoe told In Touch, “As far as I’m concerned, Paula [Abdul] is American Idol and our judge. It’s like asking [fellow judge Simon Cowell] to sing. Why would I want that? It chips away at you.”Read the rest of this entry »

Who would have thought that Paula Abdul would provide the comic relief on last night’s American Idol (April 29)? And she didn’t even mean to! The snafu has many pondering this morning — was Paula Abdul drunk or on drugs? Is American Idol rigged?
I don’t know if it was the breakneck speed of last night’s April 29 American Idol, or if she was just having a “Paula Moment,” but Paula Abdul totally got confused last night (yeah, that’s not a first, I know), critiquing two of Jason Castro’s performances — when he had only sung once!
