Remember Mark Mudd from the Louisville, Kentucky auditions (watch video above)? He didn’t get through to Hollywood, but on his way out of the audition room he told the judges to “be careful.” Paula Abdul somehow took that as a threat and got snippy about it.
A Los Angeles coroner found that Paula Abdul fan Paula Goodspeed did in fact commit suicide outside the singer’s home, her cause of death was prescription drug overdose.
Paula Goodspeed was found dead in her car – near Paula Abdul’s house – in November. She did not leave a suicide note.
When I read some news the other day that Paula Abdul is working on a daytime talk show, I quickly dismissed it – after all, she can’t even complete a coherent sentence on American Idol!
The buzz may be true, however, as sources are saying that Paula Abdul has been working with CBS/Paramount Network Television to develop a talk show. Read the rest of this entry »

Paula Goodspeed, who auditioned for American Idol during season 5, was found dead in her car – outside of Idol judge Paula Abdul’s house. Police report that Goodspeed died of an apparent suicide from a drug overdose.

Here we go again… American Idol 8 will return with its season premiere on January 13 and 14, 2009. That’s right – a two night, four hour premiere (8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox) will kick off American Idol’s eighth season.
We announced the other day that songwriter Kara DioGuardi has joined the judges panel at American Idol, but here’s the first picture of the new judge with “old-timers” Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson.
Simon Cowell said of new judge Kara DioGuardi joining American Idol, “It’s like, you know, having dinner with three people for seven years, and getting quite bored of each other. So it’s having a fourth person, new opinion, I think it’s gonna be interesting.” …
