ABC’s latest Dancing with the Stars press release offers the tease of a new cast member for season 9. Could it be former American Idol judge Paula Abdul??

The press release says: “Good Morning America (on Monday morning) will once again host the official cast announcement for the upcoming ninth season of the hit series Dancing with the Stars. Tom Bergeron, host of Dancing with the Stars, will be on hand to reveal the new cast of celebrities, along with a newly announced Season Nine cast member for the first in-studio interview.”

Paula Abdul is currently in talks to guest star on ABC’s “Ugly Betty” – sources tell EW.com that Paula Abdul could play a new temp at Mode magazine.

Since Paula Abdul announced that she won’t be returning to American Idol, rumors of job offers have been rampant online – including a chance for Abdul to be either judge or contestant on Dancing with the Stars.

Since Paula Abdul walked from American Idol, rumors have been flying about reported offers that Abdul has been getting… the latest buzz is that Paula may join Dancing with the Stars.
