The CW Renews “Gossip Girl,” “One Tree Hill,” “Supernatural” and More

“Gossip Girl” fans can rest easy that another season lies ahead — The CW has renewed “Gossip Girl” for a second season.

“Gossip Girl” has grabbed solid ratings for the network, averaging 2.6 million viewers each week.

Other CW renewals include an eighth season of “Smallville,” fourth season of “Supernatural,” sixth season of “One Tree Hill” and fourth season of “Everybody Hates Chris.” “America’s Next Top Model” has been renewed for cycles 11 and 12.

Two series that have not been picked up: “Aliens in America” and “Reaper.”

Sean Young Kicked out of Directors Guild of America Awards

Sean Young, who starred in Blade Runner and No Way Out (and more recently has been seen in TV guest starring roles on “One Tree Hill,” “ER” and “CSI”) made an ass of herself at the Directors Guild of America (DGA) Awards – and was kicked out.

First question – why was Sean Young even at the Directors Guild of America (DGA) Awards? Who let her in?

According to Defamer.com, Sean Young “began screaming in French” when “La Vie en Rose” star Marion Cotillard was on stage.

When “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly” director Julian Schnabel took the stage, Sean Young was “yelling at him to ‘get on with it’ and to ‘move it on’ . . . Julian yelled back at her to ‘have another drink, honey’ and started to leave the stage before the crowd yelled at him to stay.”

Sean Young was eventually removed by a team of security guards, but not before “she tried to throw a punch at [them].”

Not helping your career, Sean Young.

UPDATE: Sean Young entered a rehab treatment program for alcoholism on January 28, just two days after the Directors Guild of America Awards incident.

“One Tree Hill” Back in January, Skips Ahead

The fifth season of the CW’s “One Tree Hill” is set to begin with a two-hour premiere on Tuesday, January 8th at 8PM. Beginning January 15th, “One Tree Hill” will air at 9PM, removing “Reaper” from the schedule.

Here’s where it gets interesting: the show will speed things up by entirely skipping the college years. The fourth season, you may recall, ended with high school graduation. Season five picks up post-college. Should be interesting.

Kevin films TV while Britney deals with custody hearing

Britney Spears was stuck in court for custody issues, but Kevin Federline was busy filming his first guest appearance for One Tree Hill. When he was done, he went and partied at The Liquid Room until 2 am When the DJ played Brit’s “Gimme More” he didn’t react or dance. I wish he was too busy partying and parenting to film. I remember his appearance on CSI. He sucked.
