Olympic gold medalist Misty May-Treanor will stop by for a guest starring gig on Disneys Wizards of Waverly Place. The episode will air this season, although an airdate has not yet been released.

When has Oprah not pulled out all of the stops? The season premiere of The Oprah Winfrey Show, airing September 8, will feature 150 U.S. Olympic athletes, including Michael Phelps and Nastia Liukin.
Fans lined up on Saturday to snag tickets to Oprah’s Olympian athletes show – by noon, the line stretched almost six city blocks.

NBC just announced that Olympic gold medal swimmer Michael Phelps will be hosting Saturday Night Live’s 34th season on September 13. Musical guest for the SNL season premiere will be Lil Wayne.
Following the September 13 SNL, three more live shows in a row will follow. Additionally, SNL’s Weekend Update Thursday storms primetime with three live half-hour shows beginning October 9 at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Along with the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics opening ceremony fake fireworks and French swimmer Laure Manaudou’s naked picture scandal a new scandal has surfaced – lip synching during the Olympics opening ceremony by a little girl chosen to replace the singer who was deemed not cute enough.
It was discovered yesterday that the girl in the red dress singing Ode to the Motherland during the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics opening ceremony was not really singing. The lip synching fakery was performed by Lin Miaoke to the voice of seven-year-old Yang Peiyi. Read the rest of this entry »
