Nip/Tuck made its TV debut in the summer of 2003.

Nip/Tuck fans will likely see a more subtle finale episode than others that have aired over the series’ run.

FX President and General Manager John Landgraf says of the series finale, “If you think about ‘Nip/Tuck,’ it had plastic surgery on child-molesting drug dealers, and alligators eating dead bodies, and John Hensley’s character performing an auto circumcision. But it also had this really tender material. I think as [series creator] Ryan sought to hold onto his audience and give his audience what he thought they wanted, the show got bigger and bigger over time. But I’m really glad he returned to the smaller and more tender side of the show’s roots, because I think it was the only way to create a satisfying finale.”

Nip/Tuck’s series finale will air on March 3. Look for final season guest stars Melanie Griffith, Joan Rivers, Mario Lopez, Frances Conroy, Donna Mills and Joan Van Ark. If you even still watch anymore.

Here’s the kookiest part – the Nip/Tuck finale won’t air until 2011 at the end of the series’ final season (the final 19 episodes have already been shot).

John Hensley, who played Matt on Nip/Tuck commented, “I feel we’ve reached a creative impasse with regards to what we can do with this story. I feel like it was, quite frankly, told a long time ago. I say that trying to be right-sized about this because I am very grateful for this opportunity. I just feel that we were a show that was very good and innovative at one point and we’ve gone the way of so many shows before us. Our moment has passed.”

Fans don’t have to worry that Nip/Tuck is leaving the airwaves forever though. Eight new episodes that were filmed for season 5 (but interrupted by the strike) will air in January 2009 and a 19-episode sixth seaon will wrap in 2011.

I was never a fan of the original Beverly Hills, 90210 so the new series doesn’t do much for me. The addition of Jessica Walter could make all the difference though.

Jessica Walter will be playing the role of 1970s washed up movie star Tabitha Mills, who happens to be the drunk grandmother of the teen stars of Beverly Hills, 90210. Nobody does a good drunk like Jessica Walter – her turn on “Arrested Development” was nothing short of genius. The difference here, likely, will be the quality of writing. I mean, can you top AD?

Lori Loughlin, who still looks amazingly gorgeous since her days on “Full House,” will play Tabitha’s daughter, Celia. Shenae Grimes, from Degrassi: The Next Generation’s will play Annie (the role rumored for Hilary Duff), Ryan Eggold (Dirt) will play a teacher, and AnnaLynne McCord (Nip/Tuck) and Dustin Milligan (Runaway) will play teenagers.

DVR watchers do bump the numbers up slightly, with an improvement of 14%. Still, the final viewer numbers make it a record low.

Will low ratings spell cancellation for the aging series? We’ll just have to wait and see if “Nip/Tuck” makes it.

The magazine poll asked readers to vote for the celeb they thought was the most annoying in the past year. Rosie O’Donnell grabbed 44 percent of the vote, while Paris Hilton got 20 percent of votes. Ann Coulter, Heather Mills and Perez Hilton took the third, fourth and fifth spots on the annoying list.

Fear not, Spears haters – Britney Spears captured 50 percent of the votes for the most over-exposed celebrity. Paris Hilton placed second for over-exposure.

According to the Maxim list, “We don’t know what kind of bet McMahon lost, but having to hump O’Donnell, who can’t even shut up…is a fate worse than the Fantastic Four.”
