Nickelodeon’s The N is soon to be named “TeenNick” – September 28 marks the rebranding of the network name. And Nick Cannon (Mr. Mariah Carey) will serve as chairman to TeenNick, working to develop programming aimed at teens.
Nick Cannon said of the new gig at TeenNick, “I started my career here at Nickelodeon and am so excited to be back, serving as an integral part of TeenNick as the in-house voice and representative for teens everywhere. Wha? No more Nick splat? Nickelodeon has unveiled their new logo for the kid network, with a fairly understated and generic version.
President Cyma Zarghami said in a statement: “We wanted to clean it up and allow Nick to be the stamp on all of these channels… In asking ourselves if everything could live under the splat, we decided that the splat was dated. Nickelodeon just ordered a pilot for “Monsters vs. Aliens” from DreamWorks Animation, just a week after announcing that “Kung Fu Panda: The Series” would also land on the small screen.

Music superstar Beyonce is about to take on a new role – as voice talent on upcoming episodes of “Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!” – check out the behind-the-scenes video of Beyonce on the children’s series, where she’ll play Shine, the lead singer of girl group “The Wubb Girlz.”
Beyonce will appear on four episodes of Nickelodeon’s Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! – beginning April 27.
According to OK! magazine, Jamie Lynn Spears has canceled her wedding to baby daddy Casey Aldridge. Jamie Lynn and Casey had been planning their marriage since she announced at age 16 she was pregnant with Aldridge’s child.
