A Maclaren stroller recall has been announced for their umbrella strollers. Maclaren has issued the recall because of a safety issue with the hinges, as mentioned in this Today show video clip.

A hinge on the Maclaren strollers can cause stroller injuries, so if you have one of these strollers, be aware that Maclaren will provide hinge safety covers. 12 injuries have been reported.

The proposal, Measure 2F, won 72 percent of the vote, providing that adults over 21 could legally have up to 1 ounce of marijuana.

Of course, the news that Breckinridge votes to legalize marijuana is perhaps not that big of a deal – after all, pot possession is still a Colorado state crime unless you have medical reasons.

Robert Thomas says in the story:

“Bluntly, I think Richard’s ego blinds him to his brilliance. The only thing inhibiting him from progressing is a steadfast determination to become famous and live a Hollywood lifestyle. Someone needs to slap him in the face and say, “Wake up! This is not what’s important.” He has an amazing family that has already been subject to a tremendous amount of criticism. I especially feel bad for Falcon. He’s going to be known as Balloon Boy the rest of his life. That’s not something you want to tell a girl on the first date.”

The Heenes (Richard and Mayumi Heene), parents of 6-year-old Falcon, were found to be lying, and the Sheriff’s office looked to get a confession from the family to move forward with charges.

Sheriff Alderden found that the Heenes created the incident as a publicity stunt – the hoax was to get attention to market themselves for a reality television show.

The family agreed to taking a polygraph, but the sheriff could not comment on that or whether anyone confessed. Sheriff’s deputies searched the family’s home last night, looking for computer, financial and phone records, and other evidence that would connect them to a reality show.

Alderden said “We anticipate criminal charges will be filed sometime in the near future.”

Richard Heene’s son, Falcon, was thought to be aboard a homemade helium balloon that was set afloat on Thursday.

After a massive search-and-rescue operation, 6-year-old Falcon was found at home in the garage attic. Rumors of a hoax spread like wildfire, though the family denies it.

Sheriff Jim Alderden says at the news conference in this clip: “We do anticipate … there will be some criminal charges filed in respect to this incident,” likely a misdemeanor, which the Sheriff comments “hardly seems serious enough given the circumstances.”

Federal charges are also possible in the case as further investigation is underway.

Well, somebody’s in big trouble! The balloon boy update – 6-year-old Falcon Heene was found. In his own home… hiding in a box in the garage attic.

The good news is that he was not injured – he never was attached to the balloon that he let loose in any way, so he didn’t fall from it during its runaway journey.

The bad news? Falcon Heene took up a whole lot of media, police, and rescue effort time, not to mention people around the globe following the story.

People were glued to their TVs, computer and Twitter this afternoon, following the story of six-year-old Falcon Heene, who was believed to be floating in a homemade balloon in Colorado.

When the balloon finally landed, the “balloon boy,” as Falcon Heene was dubbed, was not found inside. An on land search continues to find the missing 6 year old, who was thought to have boarded the helium balloon and set it free.

It’s unclear now if the boy was just missing in the neighborhood or if he fell out of the balloon at some point.

The Heene family were featured on two episodes of ABC’s reality show “Wife Swap.” They were described as science and alien buffs, as well as storm chasers.

What Anastos meant to say was “plucking,” but his mistake, seen in the horror/shock on co-anchor Dari Alexander’s face, says it all.

In the effort to keep up the cheesey banter during the newscast, Ernie Anastos tells the weatherman, “it takes a tough man to make a tender forecast… keep fucking that chicken.”

9 Turkish women were lured into an Istanbul villa, believing they were about to become reality TV stars.

On Monday, police freed the women, who were held captive for around two months.

Not only were the 9 women held captive, but naked pictures were taken and sold online, according to reports.

How did the women get lured to the fake reality TV show? They responded to an advertisement seeking reality show contestants.

The women had to sign a contract that said they would have no outside contact and would have to pay a fine if they exited the show before two months.
