My Name is Earl canceled
NBC has cancelled My Name is Earl – Ethan Suplee, who plays Randy, just posted the news on Twitter: “Just got the call that My Name Is Earl has been canceled. They sure did take their time with that decision or rather informing us of it.”

Sorry to hear the series is over – My Name is Earl has always been a fun part of the NBC Thursday Night lineup.

The Office’s Mindy Kaling Developing Comedy Series

Mindy Kaling The Office development deal
Kelly Kapoor fans take note – The Office writer/co-star Mindy Kaling just signed a deal with NBC to develop a new comedy series in which she would also star. Not to worry though, as part of the deal, Kaling will still continue to write for and appear as Kelly on The Office next season.

Mindy Kaling said of the new deal: “This is my first step in a Transformers-style way to take over the whole world. I’ve only ever worked for NBC, and I’ve felt an enormous amount of support from the executives there.” Read the rest of this entry »

No Chuck Renewal News for Fans Until May 19

Will Chuck be renewed?
NBC has Chuck fans chewing off their fingernails, waiting for any glimmer of renewal news… and we’ll have to keep waiting. NBC unveiled their fall lineup this morning, but nary a mention of Chuck (or Law & Order, Medium, Life or My Name is Earl, for that matter).

Now Chuck fans will have to wait until the May 19 upfronts for NBC to give the renewal news. Chuck HAS to get renewed… right? Read the rest of this entry »

Save Chuck fans update - renewal or canceled?
Save Chuck fans want an update on the fate of their favorite series… and so far it’s unclear if the Save Chuck fans’ Subway campaign garnered enough attention for a renewal.

Celebrity Apprentice renewed
Turns out Celebrity Apprentice isn’t such a dud after all – NBC has renewed the celeb version of the reality show for another season. Celebrity Apprentice will return in spring 2010.

Paul Telegdy, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, NBC and Universal Media Studios said, “‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ is the ultimate business and reality show at the top of its game and has exploded in popularity this season while also raising an impressive amount of money for charity. It’s a valuable franchise and proven competitor and we’re thrilled to have Mr. Trump and Mr. Burnett back to create another brilliant season.”

Tonight marks the season finale of Chuck, but since there’s been no renewal/cancellation news for the series, many fear that tonight’s April 27 Chuck may also be the series finale. Check out the video clip of Chuck star Zach Levi taking hundreds of fans to Subway in Birmingham UK (and even making sandwiches for some).
