Twitter and fake news site Weekly World News first floated the “Michelle Obama is pregnant” rumors and it took off like wildfire, with one site “confirming:” “The White House announced today that first lady Michelle Obama, 46, is pregnant with her third child. President Barack Obama, 49, her husband is ecstatic!”

Um…no. GossipCop.com sets the Michelle Obama pregnancy rumors straight, noting that while one site said White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs noted: “Michelle Obama is pregnant… She’s about two months into her pregnancy and the President and First Lady expect to have the baby sometime in late July, 2011,” there is no truth to the rumors.

During Barbara Walters’ 10 Most Fascinating People special, Walters interviewed Lady Gaga, Adam Lambert, Kate Gosselin, Glen Beck, Sarah Palin and others… but first lady Michelle Obama was crowned the Most Fascinating Person of 2009.

Michelle Obama talked about her famously fit arms and getting settled into the white house:

“It has been a whirlwind. But it’s been amazing. I mean, if you think about this year, I had to get these two beautiful girls settled into a new city, into a new home, into a new school. We got a dog. I visited eight countries with my husband. I planted a garden. I’ve started a mentoring program. It has been everything. And now, here we are at our first Christmas in the White House.”

Michelle Obama also shared her guilty pleasure – enjoying “lazy days,” watching “really bad TV” with the family dog, Bo.

Michelle Obama hosted a “healthy kids fair” on the White House South Lawn yesterday, inviting 100 children and parents from local elementary schools to the event.

During her Sesame Street appearance, Michelle Obama will teach everyone about planting a garden and healthy eating – part of the show’s “Healthy Habits for Life” initiative.

Carol-Lynn Parente, executive producer of Sesame Street, said in a statement, “It is truly an honor to have Mrs. Obama join us in our premiere show on this landmark 40th anniversary season.”

And I never thought I’d be on ‘Sesame Street’ with Elmo and Big Bird and I was thrilled. I’m still thrilled. I’m on a high. I think it’s probably the best thing I’ve done so far in the White House. But we were there talking about nutrition and healthy eating, and it’s just been a thrill.”
