Glee Creator Responds to NBC Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Snub

Glee creator Ryan Murphy is responding to NBC’s decision to pull the Glee cast from Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Ryan Murphy explains, “I completely understand NBC’s position, and look forward to seeing a Jay Leno float.” Zinger, well played.

Macy’s had originally extended an offer for the Glee cast to perform in the Thanksgiving Day Parade, but NBC decided to dump them because Glee is on another network and (some sources say) that the parade would further promote the hit show.

I know there’s going to be some disappointed Gleeks out there… news that NBC has dumped the cast of Glee from an appearance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is making headlines today.

Rumors are flying that NBC has bumped the Glee cast from the parade because it’s a hit show – on competing network FOX. Sour grapes?

Macy’s originally offered the Glee cast a spot in the Thanksgiving Day Parade, but NBC put a halt to it.

No official word yet from NBC, Fox or Macy’s.
