No word yet on a premiere date for Lost’s final season – 2010 is all that’s said in the promo, thought there are rumors that it will kick off in January.

Lost’s final season (6) premieres in January 2010 (date not yet determined) with the episode titled “LA X.”

When “Lost” wraps up with the series finale in 2010, Matthew Fox plans to quit the TV business and head to the big screen.
Matthew Fox commented, “I am not going to do television again. That is not because I think film is better than television. Not at all, in some respects some of the best story telling is happening on television. I have done two TV shows — Lost and Party of Five — that have each run for six years. When you add it all up it is in the vicinity of 300 hours of television. I want to find a way to have more control over when I am working and when I’m not. ABC has been running this fun series of promos, featuring ABC stars co-habitating together – but one that has Lost fans talking is the ad featuring Patrick Dempsey (”Grey’s Anatomy”),” Ed O’Neill (”Modern Family”), Courteney Cox (”Cougar Town”) and Dominic Monaghan.
