Looks like NBC’s “Lipstick Jungle,” starring Brooke Shields, Kim Raver and Lindsay Price must be doing alright. The network just ordered six more episodes.

I haven’t seen it — and I don’t know anyone else who has, but ratings average 6.4 million viewers in its 10 PM Thursday slot.

So, I’m not sure that “Lipstick Jungle” is going to be such a slam-dunk, despite NBC’s best attempts to market the heck out of it.

“Lipstick Jungle,” which stars Brooke Shields, Kim Raver and Lindsay Price as career women, debuts tonight — but will you be watching? Brooke Shields was seen filming her new television show Lipstick Jungle. The show is by the same genius behind Sex and the City and apparently has a similar premise involving fabulous women in the big city, living amazing lives (and presumably getting laid a lot).

If you’ve been missing “Sex and the City” on your TV, then maybe “Lipstick Jungle,” based on the best-selling Candace Bushnell novel, will fill the void when it airs on NBC in February. Bushnell also wrote “Sex and the City,” and while it can’t all be like “Sex,” there are some similarities.

“Lipstick Jungle,” which premieres on February 7th at 10 PM, stars Brooke Shields, Kim Raver and Lindsay Price as friends at different stages of their careers and relationships. Read the rest of this entry »
