Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni will return to Law & Order: SVU! Hargitay and Meloni have negotiated their return to the show, with sources saying the pair each have a one year contract on L&O, with an option for a second year.

Rumors that Mariska Hargitay was leaving Law & Order: SVU following her recent surgery have been flying, with In Touch Weekly reporting today that “they have written [Mariska Hargitay] out of the rest of the season.” SVU honcho Neal Baer is telling E! that it’s not the case – and that Mariska Hargitay WILL be back on the series soon. Wow, Law & Order’s Mariska Hargitay suffered a partially collapsed lung during her recent vacation. Her rep confirms, “Mariska Hargitay has been sidelined with a pneumothorax (a partially collapsed lung) [but] will appear in all episodes for the rest of the season of Law & Order: SVU.”
Hopefully the collapsed lung injury won’t have Mariska down and out for too long!
