Very cool – the White Stripes will be performing on Conan O’Brien’s last Late Night show in New York on February 20. This will be the White Stripes’ first live performance since summer 2007!

Jay Leno is leaving late night – but moving to primetime, as NBC is expected to make an announcement today that Leno will have a nightly 10 p.m. talk show on the network.
Jay Leno’s new show is likely not to look much different from the Tonight Show, although the late night show will continue with hosting duties to be taken over by Conan O’Brien in May 2009. Read the rest of this entry »

Lately, I have my eye out for any Tina Fey appearances and expected to see her popping up everywhere as a talk show guest to promote the October 30 season premiere of 30 Rock. Tonight, October 28, Tina Fey will be a guest on Conan O’Brien… you can also catch her on Thursday’s Live with Regis and Kelly.
Those are her only scheduled appearances for the week – maybe we can count on a Tina Fey pop-in on SNL this weekend though?

While David Letterman only has a year and a half left on his contract, the Late Show host wants to extend his hosting duties beyond that, according to a Rolling Stone interview featured in the latest issue.
“The way I feel now, I would like to go beyond 2010, not much beyond, but you know, enough to go beyond,” David Letterman tells Rolling Stone. “You always like to be able to excuse yourself on your own terms. If the network is happy with that, great. If they wanna make a change in 2010, you know, I’m fine with that, too.” Read the rest of this entry »

In an attempt to ramp Jimmy Fallon up for his big TV debut as host of “Late Night,” Jimmy Fallon will first appear in his new hosting gig online.
Jimmy Fallon takes over for Conan O’Brien next year when O’Brien makes the move to the Tonight show (filling Jay Leno’s vacancy). “Late Night” producer Lorne Michaels said the Internet shows will allow Jimmy Fallon to ease into the job, where he’ll appear online for several months prior to taking over on TV.
