Kris Allen fans at a concert for Seton High School in Cincinnati, Ohio got a special treat from Allen… a cover of Britney Spears’ “Hit Me… Baby One More Time.” Check out the video clip, where Kris Allen pleasantly surprises the crowd with an acoustic version of the Britney hit.

Sadly, Kris Allen posted on Twitter that he was cancelling his Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien appearance on Wednesday due to a death in his family (Allen’s grandmother passed away). American Idol finalist Allison Iraheta will be filling in on Conan.
Kris Allen tweeted: “I know I was supposed to do conan on wed, but there was a death in my family. But everyone watch @Allison4Realzzz on Wed. She is filling in.” He followed it up with “by filling in I mean @Allison4Realzzz is gonna rock Conan’s face off on Wednesday.”

American Idol winner Kris Allen has officially signed a deal with Jive Records – and he’s eager to get started.
According to a press release today,, “It was announced today that 19 Recordings has signed Kris Allen, and his recordings have been licensed to Jive Records.” Read the rest of this entry »
