Disney “Harriet the Spy” TV Movie 2010, Starring Wizards’ Jennifer Stone

Wizards of Waverly Place star Jennifer Stone has landed herself a Disney TV movie. Stone, who plays sidekick Harper to Selena Gomez’s Alex on Wizards is set to star in “Harriet the Spy,” airing on the Disney Channel in 2010.

Jennifer Stone will play the lead role of Harriet Welsch in the TV movie based on the children’s book by Louise Fitzhugh. Harriet the Spy was also a 1996 movie with Michelle Trachtenberg.

Disney Channel exec David Levine commented, “Jennifer Stone is a great talent for our network.”

It’s a big day for Big Bird – as he gets the Google logo doodle treatment in celebration of Sesame Street’s 40th anniversary!

Sesame Street celebrates its 40th anniversary on November 10, with a visit from First Lady Michelle Obama for a “Healthy Habits for Live” initiative, as well as a kick-off to a nature initiative called “My World is Green & Growing.”

Hey now… SpongeBob and squirrely Sandy Cheeks revisit their past in the upcoming 10th anniversary SpongeBob SquarePants special – including the time they were married?

The SpongeBob SquarePants special, “Truth or Square,” will air Friday, November 6 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).

Plenty of guest stars lend their talents to the SpongeBob SquarePants special, including Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, LeBron James, Rosario Dawson, Craig Ferguson, Pink, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog and Robin Williams, who will all appear as themselves in live-action sequences.

Ricky Gervais narrates the SpongeBob special, so there’s reason enough to tune in right there.

According to a Nickelodeon press release:

“SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward and Mr. Krabs accidentally find themselves locked inside the Krusty Krab’s giant freezer on the day of the restaurant’s big “eleventy seventh” anniversary celebration. As they crawl through the ventilation system to escape, the friends reminisce about with never-before-seen flashback moments. Highlights include SpongeBob’s first visit to the Krusty Krab as a baby, a vintage Krusty Krab TV commercial, how SpongeBob found his beloved pineapple house and the time that SpongeBob and Sandy got married!”

Set your DVRs! SNL’s Andy Samberg will appear on an upcoming episode of Yo Gabba Gabba to air on October 13.

Yo Gabba Gabba starts new episodes on Monday, October 12, with musical guest The Roots.

Andy Samberg’s October 13 Yo Gabba Gabba appearance will include the “Alligator Chomp” and “Dancey Dance,” while musical guest MGMT and skateboarder Ray Barbee also stop by.

I don’t know why, but “Dancey Dance” sounds like it’s going to be very funny.

First lady Michelle Obama is seen on Sesame Street in this video clip, stopping by to help spread the word of a healthy lifestyle for parents and children. Michelle Obama will help celebrate Sesame Street’s 40th birthday in November.

During her Sesame Street appearance, Michelle Obama will teach everyone about planting a garden and healthy eating – part of the show’s “Healthy Habits for Life” initiative.

Carol-Lynn Parente, executive producer of Sesame Street, said in a statement, “It is truly an honor to have Mrs. Obama join us in our premiere show on this landmark 40th anniversary season.”
